California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is extending the search for an experienced academic leader to serve as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA). The Provost and VPAA serves as the chief academic officer, reports directly to the President and represents the University in the President’s absence.
The Division of Academic Affairs includes five academic colleges, the Pfau Library, the Palm Desert Campus, the College of Extended Learning, Graduate Studies and Undergraduate Studies. The Provost works collaboratively with talented faculty and deans of the colleges to promote excellence in teaching, professional development and service. Specific responsibilities of the Provost include long-range academic policy development, program planning and review, accreditation, budgeting, research initiatives, regional accreditation, and faculty recruitment and development. This person works collaboratively with other campus Vice Presidents in overall campus operations and planning.
